Protest der Sierra Leone Community – was kann München als „sicherer Hafen“ tun?

Seit Wochen protestieren Geflüchtete aus der sierra-leonischen Community mit einem Protestcamp gegen drohende Abschiebungen in Verfolgung, Gewalt, Perspektivlosigkeit und Armut. Die Botschaftsanhörungen in der Zentralen Ausländerbehörde sind vorbei, die Sorgen und Ängste der Menschen sind jedoch geblieben. Aufgrund der Anhörungen befürchten die Protestierenden Sanktionen in Bayern und Abschiebungen nach Sierra Leone.
Die Landeshauptstadt München hat sich im Juli 2019 zum „Sicheren Hafen“ erklärt. Damit verbunden ist die Bereitschaft, aus Seenot gerettete flüchtende Menschen, aber auch Menschen aus Afghanistan oder aus dem Grenzgebiet Polen/Belarus in München aufzunehmen.
Welche Rolle kann München als „Sicherer Hafen“ für Menschen z.B. aus Sierra Leone einnehmen, die die Flucht nach Europa geschafft haben und deren Lebensperspektive und Unversehrtheit nun erneut bedroht wird? Wie ist die Lage in Sierra Leone, welche Situation erwartet Abgeschobene dort?
Welche weiteren Schritte kann eine Kommune wie München in Richtung einer „Solidarischen Stadt“ gehen, einer Stadt, die allen Menschen unabhängig von Herkunft, Hautfarbe, Vermögen oder Aufenthaltstatus offensteht?
Wir möchten den protestierenden Menschen den Raum geben, ihre Lebenssituation und ihre Wünsche und Forderungen zu äußern, und gemeinsam mit Vertreter*innen der Kommunalpolitik diskutieren, welche Rolle die Stadt München unter einer grün-roten Stadtratsmehrheit dabei einnehmen kann und will.

For weeks, refugees from the Sierra Leonean community have been protesting with a protest camp against imminent deportations into persecution, violence, lack of perspective and poverty. The embassy hearings at the Central Foreigners Authority are over, but the concerns and fears of the people remain. Based on the hearings, the protesters fear sanctions in Bavaria and deportations to Sierra Leone.
The state capital of Munich declared itself a „safe haven“ in July 2019. This is associated with the willingness to take in people rescued from distress at sea, but also people from Afghanistan or from the border region of Poland/Belarus in Munich.
What role can Munich play as a „safe haven“ for people from Sierra Leone, for example, who have managed to flee to Europe and whose life prospects and integrity are now once again threatened? What is the situation in Sierra Leone, what situation awaits deportees there?
What further steps can a municipality like Munich take in the direction of a „Solidary City“, a city that is open to all people regardless of origin, skin color, wealth or residence status?
We would like to give the protesting people the space to express their living situation and their wishes and demands, and discuss together with representatives of local politics what role the city of Munich can and wants to take under a Green-Red city council majority.
